Privacy Policy

ChordTrainer · Last updated 2026-07-25

ChordTrainer is built to work entirely on your device. This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your data.

Data we collect

None. ChordTrainer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no user profile.

Microphone use

The "Listen & get feedback" feature uses your device's microphone to analyze a single chord strum and compare it against the selected chord, so the app can tell you whether you played it correctly. This analysis happens entirely on your device. Audio is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere — it exists only transiently in memory while the comparison runs.

Analytics and tracking

ChordTrainer contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs of any kind. No data about you or your usage is shared with third parties, because none is collected in the first place.

Third-party services

ChordTrainer uses no third-party services or dependencies. It is built entirely on Apple's native frameworks (SwiftUI, AVFoundation, Accelerate).

Children's privacy

Since ChordTrainer collects no data from any user, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 or any other age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that involves data collection — this page will be updated and the "last updated" date above will reflect the change.
